Introduction

This is a page of draft texts of various kinds, all however related to DGR's <hi rend="i">The Early Italian Poets</hi> volume. The document is interesting for giving us a glimpse into the way DGR went about his work on the book, especially as it was entering its last stages. DGR clearly worked simultaneously at both the notes and the revisions for the texts.

These drafts probably belong to 1859 or 1860 since DGR did not prepare the notes and prose commentaries for his book of translations until quite late.
