DGR's translation renders these tonal features quite well, and except for line 7, the translation stays close to the literal sense of the original.</p> <p>DGR's source was either <xref doc="a.pq4213.a2p6.vol2.rad" from="517" workcode="148d-1861orig"> <title level="wrk"> <hi rend="i">Poeti del Primo Secolo</hi> (II. 517) or <hi rend="i">Raccolta di Rime Antiche Toscane</hi> (III. 371).
