Introduction
Ser Pace was a late thirteenth-century poet. Although a small body of his works descend to us, nothing much is known of him. The translation is fairly close. DGR's source text is Poeti del Primo Secolo (II. 414)

Probably early, late 40s or early 50s.
Printing History
The translation was first published in 1861 in The Early Italian Poets; it was reprinted in 1874 in Dante and his Circle.
