Introduction

This is a miscellaneous collection of proof pages from various signatures printed off and sent to DGR in April 1881 for his correction and revision. These proofs are mostly fragments printed off on 7 April, as the printer's date stamps show, except for the fragment of Signature L, which is date stamped 25 April. The Delaware Art Museum has the largest collection of proofs for the Ballads and Sonnets volume. Other proofs for the book are at Harvard and Yale, and the British Library has a complete set that contains one proof copy of every signature.
