                        </xref>. In this instance, while he adheres to a complex rhyming structure
                        and fashions a trimeter equivalent for the original's setenarii, DGR does
                        not follow exactly the rhyme order of the Italian poem. The translation
                        intersects with ideas and even phrasings that come out in DGR's original
                        poetry. Compare, e.g., <xref doc="a.1-1854.raw">
                            <title level="wrk">&#8220;Love's Nocturn&#8221;</title>
                        </xref> or the sestet of <xref doc="a.2-1868.raw">
                            <title level="wrk">&#8220;A Superscription&#8221;</title>
                        </xref>.</p>
                    <p>The original canzonetta seems not in fact to be the work of Bonaggiunta; at
                        any rate, no authoritative modern scholar includes the poem in the
                    corpus.</p>
