Scholarly Commentary
Introduction
This interesting manuscript preserves an early draft state of the poem in a single initial leaf along with six other leaves carrying later versions and revisions. The last four leaves are the latest and exhibit DGR's work on the poem as it was executed in 1881-1882. The two central leaves seem to represent relatively early fair copy work.
