In his in his <bibl> <xref doc="a." link="dead"> <title level="bk"> <hi rend="i">Autobiographical Notes</hi> . Scott published complete versions of two and the first two lines of the third. This one appeared at II. 148, the other at II. 188.

WMR compiled DGR's numerous limericks into a single sequence, more or less arbitrarily arranged, in his 1911 edition. A general commentary on DGR's limericks and their context is available.
