There's the Irishman Arthur O'ShaughnessyDante Gabriel Rossetti11870?
Commentary
Introduction
DGR seems not to have met the poet Arthur O'Shaughnessy (1844-1881) until mid-1870 (see
Correspondence, 70. 222, 233-235). O'Shaughnessy is perhaps best known for his “Ode”
(“We are the music makers”), published in Music and Moonlight (1874).
A general commentary on DGR's limericks and their context is available.
