This image is one of the contact transparencies made by Robin Alston in connection with the preparation of Fredeman, A Rossetti Cabinet . The location of the original drawing is not known, and it was not included in Fredeman's collection. The note on the verso by WMR shows that it was originally in his possession. The drawing is very close to the finished study now in the Birmingham collection; this sketch must have been the first.
