This splendid book, along with its accompanying volume of plates in black and white reproduction, is the current standard catalogue of DGR's pictorial work. The catalogue contains a wealth of information about the pictorial works, physical, iconographic, iconological, historical, biographical. Provenance information is also provided, as well as some critical commentary. It specifically sets aside for inclusion certain materials, most importantly perhaps the collaborative photographs and the graphic designs made from DGR's originals. Much new material has also come to light since the catalogue was published. This new material is included in the current Archive.
