Introduction

Both volumes of this work comprise one of the more important early biographical works from an intimate member of the Rossetti and Pre-Raphaelite circle. See also volume 1. Scott had received from DGR many manuscript versions of his poems, and this autobiography prints those texts, whose original manuscripts are often no longer extant, or at least remain unlocated.
