This particular design illustrated the text “Golden Head by Golden Head”; the engraving was produced by W. J. Linton.

The second sketch for Christina Rossetti's book, illustrates the text “Buy from us with a Golden Curl.” C. J. Faulkner's engraving of this drawing served as the frontispiece.
