Introduction
Henry Treffry Dunn (1838-1899) became DGR's studio assistant in 1867, after Walter Knewstubb left to try his chances as an artist in his own right. They grew to be good friends and DGR came to rely on him quite heavily (see Fredeman, Correspondence, 67. 123 ).
