Introduction

At upper right, the head of a young man is sketched on a larger scape. Four sketches in pen and ink are on the back. The first is a man in nineteenth–century clothing and his hands on his hips. The second and third are of female heads. The second and third sketches are on the right, and on the far right is a young female servant in profile facing left, right hand pointing over her shoulder.
