Scholarly Commentary

Introduction

This is a copy in black and white of the modern print made for Gordon Bottomly in 1933; like the loose sepia copy, this was not included in the album of photographs that Bottomly assembled for May Morris. The only known print made in 1865 is in the Bottomly album.
