This subject for an apparently unexecuted picture is described
in a brief notebook entry recorded by WMR in his 1911 edition of DGR's Works. Though undated, the note was probably made in 1859 around the time that DGR's sister wrote
and published her Indian Mutiny poem “In the Round Tower at Jhansi (June 8th 1857)” (she published it in Once a Week in August 1859). DGR apparently intended to illustrate the poem.
