Introduction
This the fifth of six small drawings that DGR made in a copy of the first edition of The Early Italian Poets (1861) at Princeton. It comes on page 29 and illustrates Guinicelli's “Canzone. He perceives his Rashness in Love, but has no choice” printed on the page facing the page with the drawing.
