Production History
This is probably the work mentioned by Rossetti in a letter to Ellen Heaton dated March 28, 1862.
Pictorial
Two studies for this work are known. The first is at the Fitzwilliam Museum and the the second was in the collection of the Rossetti family but is now lost.
