Ballads and Sonnets (1881), proof Signature S (Delaware Museum, author's first proof)

This is a complete (corrected) copy of the author's first proof of Signature S (dated 6 May 1881 and marked 1 by the printer).

Besides this copy of the author's first proof, the Delaware Art Museum library has the following proof copies of Signature S: a corrected copy of the first revise, dated 10 May and numbered 1; and three copies of the second revise (none dated): WMR's copy and two uncorrected copies, copy 1 and copy 2 (all three undated). The British Library proofs have another copy of the first author's proof for this signature (dated 6 May and marked 1).
