Note: At verso center is inscribed, in CR's hand: “Size of Treasury of English Sonnets,” and above and below WMR has added in pencil: “Gabriel gave to his mother, for her 80th birthday, a copy of Main's Treasury of Sonnets, with his inserted design (well known) of The Sonnet . The drawing overpage is an alternative design (I know no other form of it) for same subject. Date wd. be towards April/80.”
