In the the 15 February1850 issue of The Critic, WMR wrote a long review of the current exhibition at the British Institution. DGR wrote eleven of the individual notices that appear in the longer articles contributed by WMR to The Critic. This is his damning account of the painting Sympathy by Dickens' close friend Frank Stone (1800-1859).
