Introduction
As the note on the manuscript shows, this is a fair copy of the sonnet made by Fanny Cornforth Schott's husband, John. The copy was made in order to give a clear text of the poem from the two manuscripts in the Schotts' collection, the draft, which is exceedingly difficult to read, and the corrected copy, which is marginally more clear.
