DGR and the other PRB members initially intended to write and publish in The Germ a series of sonnets under this title. They were to be written by different PRB members, and DGR in fact wrote “On Refusal of Aid Between Nations” and “Vox Ecclesiae, Vox Christi” for the series. The members subsequently decided to keep all publications in the journal free of “anything at all referring to politics or religion” so the series never appeared (see
