Introduction
These two holograph manuscript leaves are unconnected. One is a letter to Watts (23 Feb. 1873), the other a draft of an advertisement for DGR's two 1881 volumes of poetry. The letter contains two additional stanzas for “The Cloud Confines” that were, however, never printed with the poem. The advertisement may have been sent in a letter of 13 April 1881 to DGR's publisher Ellis (see Doughty and Wahl, LettersIV. 1882.)
