Introduction

Calliope Coronio, the daughter of Aglaia Coronio, was thirteen when this portrait was made early in 1869.

Production History

Calliope sat for the portrait in DGR's studio on 28 January 1869 and the work was ready to be framed by 13 February (see Fredeman, Correspondence, 69. 10, 16(1) ). Henry Treffry Dunn executed the picture after DGR's design.
