Virtue Tebbs; Sold at the Christie's Tebbs sale, March 10, 1900 (lot 32) for £176. 8 s.; bought in by Tebbs family (?) according to Surtees. At the wishes of the late Miss E.K. Virtue Tubbs, the Trustees of the Tate Gallery deposited the item in the Ashmolean in 1950.
